Over the moon

There are times when you also wish you’d brought a grown up camera with a big lens but then remember, this is a boat tied to a floating dock and it all moves. So long way of saying these iPhone pics of a sliver of moon hanging from Venus like a Christmas decoration do not do justice to just how beautiful the sky is tonight.

I can’t see a crescent moon without smiling and thinking about our granddaughter Georgia. George was an amazing kid (still amazing but now all grown up) who entertained us constantly. we were on holiday somewhere - Spain I think and Terry and I were talking about the crescent moon that night. George went quiet for quite a while and then asked “when do we get the present?’. What present? we asked. The one from the moon she replied - the innocence of a child is in itself the most precious gift.
